Mark Matson

Pastor, Missions & Mobilization

Pastor Mark is a native of Sylacauga, Alabama (the home of Jim Nabors – Gomer Pyle). He began ministry at FBCPTC in 2014.

Mark is a graduate of The University of Alabama (1988) with a BA in Communications/ Broadcast Journalism, as well as New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (1994) with a Master of Divinity.

Mark is married to Angela (1991). They have five official and four unofficial children ranging in age from 6-39…Two biological in Alex-26 (married to Hannah) and Austin-24; Three adopted in Grace-14, Alyssa-7, and Logan-6.

Pastor Mark enjoys playing golf and tennis; spending time with his children, going to the beach, and hibernating whenever possible. His favorite movies are “Remember the Titans”, “The Blindside”, and “Radio”. His favorite foods are Italian, pizza, burgers, and chocolate.
